First of all, it was the other person's fault. Maybe Anne had been daydreaming. Maybe she hadn't been paying attention. None of that changed anything. She had been walking along, minding her own business, when BLAM. Books and scrolls went everywhere, falling down the staircase.
She huffed and picked herself off the floor to glare at the offending entity who had knocked her down. "I hope you're sorry."

Jayce looked up at Anne and frowned. "I am not though... I'm... Not at fault." She frowned deeper.
Jayce had merely been walking to class when Anne had run into her. She stood and started to gather her things.

Anne muttered under her breath. Insufferable. But still... it was better to make amends. Burning bridges was never a winning policy. "Yes, well." She pursed her lips. "Here, let me help you."

Jayce shrugged. "Really its fine. I've just a couple more sheets of paper."
She bent to reach for her potions essay.

Anne snatched it up, stood up, and then handed it to her. She let out a breath. "There you go." She looked to the side to see her scrolls scattered over the staircase.

"Thank you."
Jayce sighed and followed Anne's eyes to the staircase. She supposed she had better return the favor. She was going to be so late to class.
She made her way over and started scooping up Anne's scrolls.

Anne nodded. Good. The girl wasn't completely tasteless. Anne stooped and began to work. "Thank you, Jayce. It's nice of you to help me with the books that ah, seem to have scattered all over the floor."
